Thank you for your interest in having Dr. B speak at your event. This document outlines the professional requirements and expectations that help ensure a high-quality experience for your audience, your team, and Dr. Collins herself. Please review these terms in full before extending an official invitation.
Dr. Collins speaks at the intersection of mental health, identity, relational healing, and high achievement. Her audiences range from corporate professionals and graduate students to faith communities, women's conferences, and clinical practitioners. Her signature frameworks—including Feel. Deal. Heal.™ and the S.A.F.E. Model—are rooted in evidence-based clinical practice and her original doctoral research on women who navigated father absence.
Travel & Accommodations — provided by host for all out-of-area engagements. Details confirmed at time of booking.
AV Equipment — microphone (handheld or lapel), projector or display screen, and stable Wi-Fi access at the venue.
Event Confirmation — all event details confirmed minimum 2 weeks prior to date.
Signed Agreement & Deposit — required to hold your date. Dates are not reserved without both.
Content Brief — submitted by host minimum 3 weeks before the event to allow for custom content development.
Social Media Promotion — host agrees to promote Dr. B's appearance on their channels prior to the event.
Recording Rights — any recording of Dr. B's presentation must be agreed upon in writing prior to the event.
Cancellation Policy — cancellations within 30 days of the event date forfeit the deposit.
In-Person Events — Travel Requirements
Airfare & Ground Transportation
- All airfare and local ground transportation (to/from airports, between venue and hotel) are covered by the event organizer.
- For flights under 4 hours: economy or premium economy class is acceptable.
- For flights 4+ hours, or any engagement requiring a significant time zone change (2+ hours): business class is required. This is not a preference—it is a professional standard that ensures Dr. Collins arrives rested, present, and fully prepared to serve your audience at the highest level.
- Dr. Collins is based in Houston, TX (IAH/HOU). All travel arrangements should originate from Houston.
- Dr. Collins prefers to arrive the evening before her scheduled engagement to avoid day-of travel complications such as delays or cancellations. Organizers are expected to cover lodging for that arrival evening.
Pre-Event Engagement
- Dr. Collins is open to a pre-event meeting with event leadership, host organization executives, or key stakeholders—provided this is scheduled in advance and does not conflict with preparation time.
- Please do not schedule press, meet-and-greet, or add-on obligations without prior written agreement.
Lodging Requirements
- Hotel accommodations must be covered for the full length of Dr. Collins' required presence at the event, including the arrival evening prior to her engagement.
- A minimum of a standard private guest room at a 3-star or higher property is required. Shared rooms are not acceptable.
- The event organizer's credit card should be placed on file at the hotel to cover room and applicable incidentals. Dr. Collins should not be required to pay and seek reimbursement for lodging.
U.S. Conferences
- Lodging covered for the full duration of the conference or engagement Dr. Collins is invited to attend, plus the arrival evening.
International Conferences
- One (1) full day of lodging prior to the conference start date
- The full duration of the conference or workshops Dr. Collins is expected to attend or present
- The evening following her final speaking engagement
Remote & Virtual Events
Live Streaming & Virtual Sessions
- A detailed run-of-show must be provided at least 5 business days before the event, including session timing, technical flow, and contact information for your AV/tech team.
- A mandatory tech check (platform test, internet speed, camera/audio quality) must be scheduled no later than 48 hours prior to the live session.
- A documented backup plan is required for live sessions. This may include a pre-recorded version on standby, a co-host who can hold the space, or a clear communication protocol for your audience in the event of technical failure.
- Pre-recorded sessions are available, particularly for international events with significant time zone differences or where internet reliability cannot be guaranteed. This protects the quality of your event and the integrity of Dr. Collins' content.
Chat, Q&A, and Audience Interaction
- All live Q&A and audience chat features must be actively moderated by at least one trained moderator who is familiar with your Code of Conduct.
- A strict no-harassment, no-trolling, and no-solicitation policy must be enforced and communicated to attendees before the session begins.
- Questions directed at Dr. Collins must be curated and submitted through your event team—not pulled live and unfiltered from a public chat feed.
Speaker Honorarium
Dr. Collins' speaking fees reflect her doctoral-level expertise, clinical licensure (LPC-S), original research, and over a decade of applied practice in counseling, education, and organizational consulting. All fees are separate from and in addition to travel and lodging expenses.

- Fees are determined based on several factors: event ticket pricing and accessibility, anticipated audience size, the length and format of the engagement (keynote only, keynote + Q&A, workshop, full-day training), how recorded content will be used and distributed (private internal use vs. public release), and the revenue model of the hosting organization.
- Nonprofit and community-based events with free or reduced-cost tickets are considered differently. Please disclose your organization's structure and ticket pricing when inquiring—Dr. Collins is mission-driven and will work with you accordingly.
- A 50% deposit is required to hold the date. The remaining balance is due no later than 5 business days before the event. Payment may be made via business check, ACH transfer, or approved invoicing platform. Personal payment apps (Venmo, Zelle, CashApp) are not accepted for professional engagements.
- Dr. Collins does not speak for free in exchange for "exposure." If your budget does not align with her fee range, please do not inquire unless you are prepared to discuss an adjusted scope of work.
Full Conference Access
- A complimentary ticket or access pass to the full conference is required as part of the speaker agreement—not just the session in which Dr. Collins is presenting.
- This includes access to all general sessions, breakout rooms, and any digital or replay portals offered to registered attendees.
Content, Recording & Intellectual Property
- All content presented by Dr. Collins—including frameworks, slides, handouts, and language—remains the intellectual property of Dr. Brittany Collins and Ahava Counseling & Consulting, LLC.
- Permission to record, stream, or distribute Dr. Collins' session must be explicitly agreed upon in writing prior to the event. Recording without written consent is not permitted.
- If the session is recorded, the distribution scope (internal-only, public release, replay access, resale, etc.) must be specified in the agreement and will influence the final honorarium.
- Dr. Collins' name, likeness, credentials, or quotes may not be used in event marketing without prior written approval of the specific language and imagery.
- Please send all promotional copy that references Dr. Collins to her team for approval before publishing.
Inclusion, Safety & Code of Conduct
- Dr. Collins requires that your event have a published, accessible Code of Conduct that applies to all speakers, staff, and attendees.
- Events must be committed to creating a psychologically safe space—particularly for audiences engaging with content related to trauma, mental health, and identity healing.
- Dr. Collins will not present at events where discriminatory language or behavior toward any group is tolerated or where the event's values are in direct conflict with her own publicly stated mission.
- If content warnings or mental health resources are appropriate for the session topic, Dr. Collins will advise on this and expects the event team to support their distribution.
