    Dr. Brittany Collins, LPC-S, is a seasoned mental health professional and visionary leader with a passion for empowering individuals to heal, grow, and live with purpose. As the founder of Ahava Counseling & Consulting , she blends clinical expertise with faith-based principles, guiding clients through life’s challenges while helping them discover their God-given purpose.

    With a background in program management, clinical supervision, training, and public speaking, Dr. Collins is committed to mentoring the next generation of counselors and empowering women—especially those impacted by the father wound—to heal and thrive. Her nonprofit, Est.Her’s Quarters, reflects her heart for service, providing holistic support to young women in foster care or with absent parents. Through her work, she continues to inspire transformation, believing that mental health and faith are deeply intertwined paths to personal growth.

    Kennisya Adams LPC

    Kennisya is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a dedicated mental health professional with four years of experience working across diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her expertise includes supporting children and families through case management, psychoeducation, and promoting mental wellness. She is passionate about helping clients understand the impact of mental health on their daily lives and relationships. With a Master of Education in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Lamar University, she is committed to empowering individuals on their healing journeys, offering guidance and support as they take the next steps.

    Ijeoma Kolawole LPC – Associate

    Ijeoma J. Kolawole is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate  and National Certified Counselor (NCC) dedicated to serving diverse populations, particularly youth, individuals affected by trauma, and those navigating the correctional system. She has extensive experience in mental health counseling, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.

    Throughout her career, Ijeoma has provided individual and group counseling in various settings, including correctional facilities and community centers. She is particularly skilled in working with clients facing mental health challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, psychosis, and relationship issues. In her role as a Mental Health Professional and Behavioral Support Provider, Ijeoma has been a strong advocate for inmates under PREA guidelines, focusing on trauma recovery, crisis intervention, and patient advocacy.

    Ijeoma holds a Master of Education in Counseling & Development and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Her professional training includes certifications in Sexual Assault Advocacy, Anger Management, and Suicide Prevention, positioning her as a compassionate advocate for individuals who have experienced trauma or victimization. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

    Dara Lovett, LPC- Associate

    Dara is a dedicated mental health professional who supports adolescents, young adults, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, low self-worth, and parent-child conflict. Dara’s therapeutic approach combines clinical insight with faith-based principles, offering a safe and supportive space for emotional healing and personal growth. A proud alumna of the University of West Georgia, Dara earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology before completing her Master’s in Counseling and Development at Lamar University. She brings three years of experience in the mental health field and over five years of service in diverse ministry settings. Dara is especially passionate about supporting young girls impacted by absentee fatherhood, severe trauma, and experiences within adoption and foster care. She is deeply committed to restoring family dynamics through identity development, empathetic connection, and empowerment. Dara brings warmth, purpose, and intentionality into every session as she walks alongside her clients on their journey toward healing and lasting

    Absolutely. We offer individual and couples counseling to help navigate and improve relationship dynamics.

    Insurance may cover couples counseling if the identified client has a clinically proven diagnosis and the relational issues impact or are impacted by the diagnosis. Please consult with your therapist to discuss self-paying rates for marriage counseling.

    Our premarital counseling is based on the Prepare/Enrich guide. We are also Twogether in Texas providers. If you complete our premarital sessions, you can get the 72-hour waiting period waived (if completed within a year before applying for a marriage license) and save up to $60 on your marriage license fee. The program consists of about six sessions.

    Progress in therapy can be measured by achieving your set goals, experiencing relief from symptoms, and noticing improvements in your daily life and relationships. Your therapist will regularly review your progress with you.
